Ysbryd – Spirit

Ysbryd – Welsh meaning “Spirit”- is the exciting new project from HSQ’s Helen Pillinger. In developing the music for Ysbryd Helen has gone back to her Welsh roots, exploring the links between jazz and folksong and the use of improvisation in both styles.

Ysbryd features in the Jazz Leeds Autumn series – Women Jazz Leaders and will be performing at the Inkwell Arts Centre on Sunday November 17th.
